Hariva is a merchant of mixed Halgon and Damamat provenance; he's a merchant through and through. He was badly manipulated in his past, and his ability and control over money and trade is his way, consciously or no, of compensating for that. He's inherently distrustful of people and quite happy to domineer if threatened.
