Once a smaller greater power on Mannon, a series of lucky breaks and smart opportunist moves have given it an influx of resources at the expense of other nations, particularly Vaasith. At the start of the story, it's in the middle of blitzing the Sokkor system to take the industrial stronghold of Gantu and the resources of Radi, hoping to use it as a second jumping point for conquest of Mannon's known worlds, and future habitable planets.
